Though ace tennis champion Sania Mirza is fuming over the fact that a film called Hyderabadi Jamai is being made on her and cricketer Sohaib Malik, director Jay Prakash has no plans to take any formal permission from her.
“Where is the need to? Sania’s secretary had called me asking me to take official permission from the tennis player, but I explained to him that my film was not based on Sania’s life and thus didn’t require legal documentation. I have been inspired by some events that have occurred of late and I’m making a film on them,” says Prakash, who insists that the story more about the Sharia Law and Muslim customs and not based on anyone’s personal life.
