Salman Khan Buying The Remake Rights Of Bodyguard

'Bodyguard' brought in scintillating returns at the cine stakes. The Malayalam winner, penned and helmed by Siddique is gearing up for a Hindi version too.

Salman Khan, suitably impressed with the flick, has already assented to enact the lead.

Incidentally, many Hindi filmmakers were keen on buying the remake rights of 'Bodyguard'… though Atul Agnihotri, Sallu's brother in law has emerged as the lucky filmmaker to have bagged it.

Director Siddique, presently canning the Tamil version of his flick, will focus his attention towards the Hindi version later.

Reportedly, Deepika Padukone is being cited as a strong contender for the female lead role, though Agnihotri isn't ready to clarify matters at this stage.

Says Agnihotri in a media chat, "The film is still in the scripting stages and the shooting will start on December 6 at Ranikhet. There are several layers before the cast of a film is finalised and we are still in that process right now."
