A strong resemblance to Katrina Kaif and her proximity to Salman Khan — both factors keep this porcelain beauty in the news. And far from getting perturbed, Zarine Khan is all poise and maturity when you quiz her about either.
Recently in the news for attending a party with Salman by her side, Zarine coolly says, “I don’t understand the fuss. Salman’s my mentor and whatever I am today is because of him. So what if I attended one party with him? As far as my resemblance to Katrina is concerned, well, she’s way too good-looking.”Ask her if she has discussed this bit of gossip with Salman, and she says, “I have a lot of other things to talk about, like the next film I am doing with him. When I personally don’t lend credence to any of these link-up rumours, why would I even talk about these to him?” she asks, adding, “I am in B-town to make a career, and not paying heed to gossip is the first thing I have learnt.”
Another reason Zarine is in the news is because of her brand new heart-shaped tattoo near her ankle. Isn’t she concerned that it will again make the gossip mills work overtime? She replies, “I have my own likes and dislikes, and a tattoo is something I’ve always wanted.
Why link it to anything or anyone?” And does this choice of design bring out typically girlie, mushy emotions? She says, “Not really. I’ve always been a tomboy. Didn’t you notice it’s also got a dagger to make the whole design look rather mean? What’s feminine or mushy about that?”
