Deepika's Silent Exit From Ranbir

There's a lot of casting noise over 'Silence'. And the latest buzz across the mediavine is that Deepika Padukone has opted out of 'Silence'.

Reportedly, director Anurag Basu had clinched the deal to pair up real life ex flames DP and Ranbir Kapoor in his flick. In fact, Dippy had always maintained that she had nil problems pairing up with Ranby Boy professionally.

Apparently, the ex twosome had shook hands and agreed to nod assent to the venture, after Basu gave them a joint narration. Earlier reports, hinted that Dippy had told Basu that she'd act in his flick only if her role was at par with that of Priyanka Chopra's in 'Silence'.

Apparently, it was the repeated changes in the script which irked Deepika and made her quit Basu's flick!

States a close source, "Basu's initial plan was to cast Ranbir and Deepika together and that was his game plan. The mentally challenged role that everyone was making such a noise about, really wasn't such a big deal. In fact, Basu had gone on to say that he could also have casted a man in the role!"

Adds the insider, "Anurag Basu kept changing the script every now and then. Three meetings down the line, Deepika realised that not only her role, but the entire story of the film had been changed by Basu.

She thought that it best to leave the film and was very professional about it."
