Amitabh Bachchan's Voice Blog Called Bachchan Bol

After writing a continuous blog for 809 days, Amitabh Bachchan has now been approached for a video blog, to which he has given the go-ahead.

"I enjoy communicating with my fans. I pen my thoughts everyday, read the reactions to them and give my feedback too. The blog has kept me abreast with what my audience is thinking and has kept them informed about my whereabouts. And now, they will get to see me too," he asserts. Bachchan can use his mobile phone camera to record videos ranging from 10 seconds to two minutes. He can then download them to his website.

"The video blog will extend my association with people who have loved me and enjoyed my films for years. With so many innovative means of communication, I think everyone today thinks of me as their next door friend," he smiles. The superstar recently started a voice blog called Bachchan Bol, which he calls an extension of his written word on Bigadda. "I am also on Twitter and enjoy the experience. My fans and friends connect with me regularly. They share their opinions, likes, dislikes and problems with me. And I give my inputs too," he says.

No editing

Two years after his Bigadda blog started, several of Bachchan's critics believe that it's being monitored to weed out negative comments. "If we could understand where we were making a mistake, wouldn't we correct it ourselves?" he argues. "When I started writing my blog, I was given the option to edit the abusive and obscene messages. I didn't feel the need to do so because I wanted to know what my fans think, good, bad or ugly."

Recently, his comments on Raavan's editing upset a few. He says with a smile, "Now that I am hosting KBC 4, may be a question on this can be included on the show."
